Scoot/Motorcycle Swap Meet, Oct 8-9, 2005

at Capannelle, a horsetrack ~10 mi south of Rome
I went on Sunday, because Saturday (the 8th) was POURING. Apparently it was a much smaller event this year because of the weather.

IMG_1284.JPG IMG_1285.JPG
If you're Italian and rich enough to have a garage, but not TWO garages, here's your answer. There's a M/C version, too.
IMG_1286.JPG
The antique POLICE vehicel club was there
IMG_1287.JPG
The horse track itself; the market was outside, under the stands, in the clubhouses, etc.
IMG_1288.JPG
Lush.

IMG_1292.JPG
Nice stand! Beat frame.
IMG_1293.JPG
The VESPA CLUB OF ROME had it's own presence inside the betting parlour. These bikes were not for sale, by the way. The big guy in the v-neck is Gianluca Grandi, the guy in the windbreaker next to him is Roberto, president of the club and of the Vepsa Club of Italy. Other luminaries and important figues are loitering here and there. Sheesh.
IMG_1294.JPG
GS... on a workstand, but this nike does NOT need anyone to touch it.
IMG_1295.JPG IMG_1296.JPG
The LAMBRETTA CLUB OF LAZIO, Lazio being the province including Rome, was also there.

IMG_1316.JPG IMG_1317.JPG
Each of these was going for 300 Euro or less.  Oh, for a trailer... though I guess I might need more than a 50cc bike to pull them home...
